LCS was founded by Dr. Eleni Lobene, an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist in Washington, DC. Lobene, is an Italian name, meaning "the good" and is incidentally a perfect match for the mission of the organization. When Eleni decided to form LCS during the marathon of COVID-19 stress and uncertainty, she hoped that her efforts would help bring out the good not only in each organization with which she engaged, but also a bit in the peoples' lives with whom she would interact. Originally she decided to enter the field of Industrial-Organizational Psychology after leaving a counseling career path behind because, as she puts it, "if you really want to make peoples' lives better, you need to make their work better."
Dr. Eleni Lobene has held a variety of positions during her career ranging from Research Scientist, to Chief Human Resources Officer, to Head of Assessment Solutions. She has extensive experience in personnel strategy planning and execution, compensation and succession planning, talent management and executive development. Eleni has a keen interest in advancing women in the workplace though actively addressing barriers, advocating for progressive policies, and supporting innovative research. She has spent her career seeking to understand (and improve) the organizational and personal impacts of unique psychological experiences at work whether through employee engagement analyses, assessment experiences, and leadership interventions. Eleni's work on improving pre-hire testing experiences earned Aon and Anheuser-Busch the International Personnel Testing Council's 2018 Innovations in Assessment Award.
Her contributions have been quoted in Forbes Magazine, Inc Magazine, and Business Breaking News. Her writing and research has appeared in numerous academic journals including Personnel Psychology, Information Sciences, Journal of Career Development, The Journal of Psychology: Interdisciplinary and Applied, Artificial Intelligence in Education, Foundations of Digital Games, and Intelligent Tutoring Systems.
